Volunteer World provides transparency to the growing market of international volunteer work, which so far is highly fragmented and decentralized. The independent matching platform allows interested users to compare and choose their ideal volunteer work program out of 1,100 registered organisations in more than 60 countries. Since its inception in August 2015, approximately 200 volunteers were successfully matched. Besides giving global organisations access to volunteers, the platform specifically allows small, local aid projects to find suitable volunteers in a targeted and cost-effective way. Clearly phrased project profiles, well-structured offerings, a transparent breakdown of costs as well as quality assessments by former volunteers create a brand new possibility to compare prices and services in this specific sector. The social enterprise secured growth capital with support from FASE to finance the next steps.
