Despite government targets to make all buildings climate-neutral by 2045, progress has been limited: only around 10,000 of the targeted 4 million commercial and residential buildings slated for retrofitting have been upgraded. Meanwhile, over 90% of apartment buildings still lack solar installations, representing a major untapped opportunity. Property owners are often held back by complex regulations, high upfront costs, and operational burdens. Alva Energie solves this by offering a turnkey Mieterstrom solution that transforms buildings into clean energy hubs. By producing and supplying solar energy directly onsite, Alva reduces transmission losses, cuts emissions at the source, and supports national and EU climate goals in a scalable and economically viable way.

Alva Energie is transforming buildings into energy hubs through the implementation and operation of “Mieterstrom” (tenant electricity) models−installing rooftop solar systems, managing energy infrastructure, and supplying tenants with affordable green electricity through its dedicated consumer brand, Karlssonn.
