Donating for Impacc
Turning donations into an evergreen fund that equips African founders with capital and long-term opportunity
Impacc demonstrates how donations can become an evergreen fund that provides African founders with long-term capital and opportunity. Instead of flowing into time-limited projects, donations are channelled directly into local start-ups led by local founders. Returns generated by successful ventures remain within the system and are reinvested — creating a revolving funding pool that continuously supports new startups. In this way, a single donation can generate impact across multiple generations of ventures, exactly where entrepreneurial growth takes place: lokally on the ground.
Only 2% of global investment capital reaches Africa
More than 700 million people still live on less than $2 per day. At the same time, Africa is one of the world’s most vibrant and fastest-growing markets, with a dynamic entrepreneurial landscape and many market-ready solutions. Yet early-stage capital remains scarce: only 2% of global investment reaches the continent.
A new financing instrument for social innovation
Impacc provides capital and takes equity stakes in local start-ups. Beyond funding, founders receive hands-on support from Impacc’s teams on the ground and a network of more than 40 international experts who assist with market access, structuring and operational challenges. The current portfolio comprises 14 companies across sectors such as circular manufacturing, digital agriculture and health services — active in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and Ghana. These ventures have already created more than 2,200 jobs, contributing to higher incomes, economic stability and locally anchored pathways out of poverty.
A donation that works with the discipline of capital
A donation to Impacc is tax-deductible and used as long-term catalytic capital. Each contribution strengthens the evergreen fund, enabling African entrepreneurs to expand their businesses, create employment, and build local economic value.
Donate like an investor — and support a structured, scalable model that empowers African founders and strengthens economic development within African communities.
